Default Questions on Runes

im a bit confused on runes...when runes say nonstacking, does that mean runes of the same kind (lets say Divine Favor)...only 1 has effect and others null? I know say 2 minor runes of divine rune only one has effect...but lets say on the chest you had a +3 sup DF rune and a +1 minor DF rune on your legs...would you get +4 DF or still just the +3 DF??

i know the scalp stacks for monks and stuff...but i mean the nonstacking ones (dealing only with runes, ignore the head piece).

im wondering cause if different "sizes" of the same "skill/type" of the rune can be used on 1 set of armor (as long as its on diff pieces)...couldnt someone say have sup vigor on chest, major vigor on legs, and minor vigor on arms and get a whopping +120 hp?...or would that not work and they would only get the effect of the sup vigor (50 hp)?

thx in advance

Nope.

If you had a Superior Divine rune and a Minor Divine rune, you would only get the +3 given from the Superior.

If you had a Superior Divine rune and a Major Divine rune, you would get the +3 and both health penalties.

Regarding Vigor runes, they don't stack at all. You either get 50, 41 or 30 health.

Long story short, same attribute runes don't stack if they have 'non-stacking' on it.

You only get the benefit of the highest level rune of any attribute line. So, if you have 3 runes of fire: 1 sup, 1 major, and 1 minor, you would get fire +3. Vigor and absorption runes also only give you the benefit of the highest.

Another point to keep in mind is that the health penalties for sup and major DO stack, so with the 3 fire runes above, your HP would be reduced by 110, even though you only get the benefit of the sup. This is how 55 monks are made - as they have to double up on one of the runes, even though they only get the boosts in the 4 attribute lines.

If you have a armor piece that's +1 to an attribute, say a Warrriors helm of Swordsmanship, and you put a Major rune of Swordsmanship (+2) on your armor, it will stack to give you +3 to swords. That's the only "Stacking" that runes will do.

The major runes were all -50 health until a couple days ago. ANet changed new ones to -35 instead.
